※ Assessments and examinations for classes I-VI will be done in two terms -Term-I and Term-II.
※ Each Term consists of a Periodic Assessment (PA) and a Term end Examination.
※ PA is of 20% and the Term end Examination is of 80% weightage.
※ 20% of PA comprises 5% periodic tests, 5% Portfolio, 5% Multiple assessment and 5% for Subject Enrichment activities.
※ To be promoted to the next class, a student should score a minimum of 33% in all the examinations. Their attendance during the year should not be less than 80%.
※ Subject Enrichment Activities: These are subject – specific activities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of the students. Theseactivities are to be carried out throughout the term, however, they will be evaluated at the end of the term.
※ Languages: Aimed at equipping the learners to develop effective listening and speaking skills. The language teachers may devise their own methods and parameters for assessment of the languages.
※ Mathematics: Activities as suggested by the NCERT Syllabus and Text Books.
※ Science: Activities in Science as suggested by the NCERT Syllabus and Text Books.
※ Social Science: Map or the project work as suggested by the NCERT Syllabus and Text Book.
※ Co-Scholastic Activities: For the holistic development of the students, co –scholastic activities in the following areas are carried out in CBSE affiliated schools and graded term – wise on a 3-point grading scale(A=Outstanding, B= Very Good and C= fair). The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and team- work are the generic criteria for grading the following co-scholastic activities:
Work Education- refers to skill – based activities resulting in good actions or services useful to the community.
